These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BillSimple, a billing and invoicing software service for small and medium businesses ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

BillSimple lets a business ("you", "your business") generate GST-compliant invoices under either the Composite or Regular GST scheme, manage customers and billing history, produce print-ready PDF bills, and give staff members their own logins under your account. The Service is provided on a subscription basis.

2. Eligibility & Account Registration

You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service, and must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account, including activity by staff logins you create.

3. Free Trial

New accounts get a 14-day free trial with no card required. At the end of the trial, you may subscribe to a paid plan to keep using the Service; if you do not, access to creating, editing, and deleting records is paused until you subscribe.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or yearly basis through our payment processor (Razorpay). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. We may change plan pricing with reasonable advance notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page in your account. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details.

6. Your Data

You own the business and customer data you enter into the Service. We store it to provide the Service to you and do not share it with other businesses using BillSimple. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle data.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems, or to reverse-engineer or resell the Service without our written permission.

8. GST Compliance Disclaimer

BillSimple helps compute GST amounts and generate invoice formats based on the information you provide, but you remain solely responsible for the accuracy of that information and for your business's compliance with applicable GST law. The Service is a tool, not tax or legal advice.

9. Intellectual Property

The BillSimple software, branding, and platform are our property. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Service itself to you — only the right to use it as described here.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any errors in generated invoices arising from information you provided.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [city/state to be confirmed].

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
